The Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board approved the College Curriculum on the 17th February 2007. A print copy can be downloaded at the bottom of the page.

Invitation to bid for funding for Leadership Curriculum related work

The College would like to inform fellows and members that £20,000 has been made available for initiatives that will promote the NHS medical leadership curriculum within Emergency Medicine. Projects should look specifically at the implementation of the leadership curriculum and assessment of leadership skills. The NHS Leadership Curriculum can be found at

http://www.institute.nhs.uk/assessment_tool/general/medical_leadership_competency_framework - homepage.html

Applications are invited from members and Fellows (there should be a Fellow named as sponsor). Bids must include:

  • The objective(s) of the project
  • How it relates to the leadership curriculum
  • Describe the proposed work including time frames and methods used
  • Details of the evaluation of the project and key criteria for success
  • Detailed breakdown of predicted costs and funds requested

Ideally the College would like to fund more than one project and therefore projects of £5-10,000 will be viewed favourably.

Applications should be submitted by January 31, 2010 for the attention of the Dean and will be considered by the Education and Examination committee.
