Training Standards

The Training Standards Committee is chaired by Dr Nick Jenkins. The committee is responsible for:

• Quality control and administration of training posts and training sites
• Advising individuals on their training requirements for CCT
• Recommending of individuals to the GMC for CCT
• Assessing the equivalence of training and experience of overseas doctors and UK NCCG and making recommendations to GMC for CCT
• Central co-ordination of the ARCP process
• Managing on behalf of GMC sponsored overseas SpR trainees
• Developing guidelines and assessment of competency based training
