The Hughes stand features the new Hughes Articulated Rapid Deployment (HARD) shelter which has been developed for military use and civilian emergency services. It comprises a single-piece aluminium frame with integral cover and a choice of inner 'liners'. Change the liner and the same shelter can be used for different applications. The frame is light-weight for carrying but tough enough for repeated use in the harshest conditions. It can be erect by two people in two minutes and when additional space is required two or more units can be connected together using the zipped door openings.

Applications include first aid post, field hospital, command centre, temporary storage facilities and personnel accommodation.
